This weekend would have been the 44th annual celebration known as "Durand Railroad Days."  For more than four decades, the community has come together over a weekend in May to honor Durand's railroad heritage with a midway and numerous railroad-themed activites, including much to see at the historic Durand Union Station and Michigan Railroad History Museum.

For many years, Blight Propane has generously sponsored Durand Now's "Railroad Days Info Depot;" an online directory of all-things Durand Railroad Days.  But this year, there's not much directing to do because... well... Coronavirus...

But we're not going to let this weekend go by without celebrating and honoring the men and women of the railroad, along with the business leaders, community members and even first-responders of Durand past and present.

There's more to the story! Keep reading!

This weekend, we're going to share all our historical photos in the new Durand history Facebook group, "Durand Then," and we are humbly asking you to share your knowledge and memories and to engage in dialogue with the group that could be valuable and cherished by future generations. Please also feel free to share your own photos, videos and documents as well.
